Improving the visibility clarity of the field's structure
By circulating knowledge about the fellows engaged in this field in France, in order to promote collaborations and multidisciplinarity. To achieve this, the ILVV provides tools to help structure the field.
The Directory of Research Fellows
was created with the aim of identifying colleagues, teams and emerging issues. The database is continuously updated by the researchers themselves, who register individually to complete and update their profile and describe their own work.
The database is then available in three forms:
- The data allow a description of the French research community through statistics
- The queryable ILVV directory, allowing a mapping of the research community on key words, disciplines, regions…
- The list of projects gathering the description provided by researchers who filled this part of their profile

An overview of research data sources
These activities aim to give greater visibility to the data sources produced and used by the various actors in the field, and to involve researchers more in the development and use of surveys by public policy bodies.
