L'impact de l'aide informelle sur le partenaire de l'aidant familial

From the Survey of Health, Ageing and Retirement in Europe (SHARE), we address how care provision by adult children affect the mental health of their spouses using Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) specication. We adjust for the endogeneity due to the simultaneity of informal care and mental health with instrumental variables (IV). The results suggest that a higher intensity of care provided by the respondent to their own old-age parents leads to a smaller depression rate of her spouse..
